Grown Men with Teen Brides

I've just finished watching the last episode of  VH1's Couple's Therapy, Courtney Stodden said that she "Sometimes forgets that she is married". I will NEVER understand why some parents allow their minor children to be in adult relationships. At 16 years old, Courtney's parents allowed her to marry, 51 year old, Doug Hutchison. Now let's do the math 51-16=35, right? What do they have in common? Doug was 35 when she was born.

Hello??? I know I can't be the only one in the world that knows (not thinks) that something is wrong with this. Some would say , "It's no ones business." but true enough it is. It's like giving him permission to be a child molester, as some of the cast members said.

Sources connected to the show told TMZ that Stodden and Hutchison have acknowledged that there are "obvious problems in their relationship because of their age difference and the notoriety they've gotten because of their relationship."

Remember, Robert Kelly & Aaliyah (RIP) marriage...

on August 31, 1994. Aaliyah was 15 years old and Kelly was 27. Now, let's do he math again, 27-15= 12. So, he was in Middle School when she was born. What do they have in common at that age, nothing. Source said he married her because she was pregnant with his child. Vibe magazine published the marriage license which showed that Aaliyah has listed her age as 18 on the marriage license making it invalid by law and paving the way an annulment. Now, what 15 year old is aware that if she lies about her age,so they can get married without parental consent. Hmm, I'll wait...

Then, in 2002, a sex tape of R.Kelly former protégé Sparkles 14 year old niece, popped up in every urban neighborhood and flooded the internet. People were outraged at the acts that took place, especially when he urinated on the 14 year old. Later in June 2002, Kelly was indicted in Chicago for 21 counts of having sex with a minor, which were later reduced to soliciting a minor for child pornography, seven counts of videotaping the acts, and seven counts of producing child pornography. These charges came after viewing the tapes showed that there was no actual sexual intercourse involved.

You can google the story for more information.  I think there should be some laws in place to protect children when their parents will not.

LL Cool J, puts His Platinum Workout on an Intruder

Update: On Wednesday, August 22nd, LL Cool J, whose real name is James Todd Smith, heard noises in his LA home, which sounded off his home security alarm. The "NCIS: Los Angeles," star put his Platinum Workout on an intruder, he found in his home. Jonathan Kirby, 56, suffered a broken nose, jaw and ribs when he taken down by LL and detained until the police came.

It is unclear if he knew who house he was breaking into. Kirby will be charged with  first degree burglary as a "third striker," which means he could face 38 years to life in prison if convicted. He was previously convicted of voluntary manslaughter in Dallas, Texas, in 1988. He also has auto theft, first degree burglary and a petty theft conviction in Los Angeles on his record.

Prosecuters are asking that bail for Kirby be set at $1.1 million. Arraignment for the suspect is not yet set, because he is still hospitalized for treatment of injuries. "LL Cool J, and his family, are safe and thank everyone for their thoughts and concern," his representative said in a statement to CNN. "As a father, husband and citizen, he is committed to keeping his family safe and is cooperating with authorities on this private matter."

Rodney King's Death was Accidental

Rodney Glen King (April 2, 1965 – June 17, 2012) was an African-American construction worker who became well known after being beaten harshly by LA police officers following a high-speed car chase on March 3, 1991. At the time, King was on parole from a robbery and led police on a chase to avoid being captured. After the LA Riot, King was remembered for his noe famous line, "Can we just get along?" King has been no stranger to the media. He was driving under the influence in August 1993 and crashed his car into a blocked wall in downtown LA.

In July 1995, he was sentenced to 90 days in jail for hitting his wife with a car and leaving the scene. In August 2003, he was arrested for driving under the influence, failing to stop at a red light and slamming his car into a house. In November 2007, King was shot while riding a bicycle. He told police that a man and a woman was trying to take his bike. In 2008, King checked himself into rehab. Not just any rehabbed, but Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew, which premiered in October 2008. Dr. Drew said if he did not get clean, he would be dead soon. He also appeared on Sober House, determined to stay clean and rekindle his relationship with his family, which was destroyed due to his addiction and him constantly breaking the law.

In 2009, King  had been clean for 11 months . He served on a panel for new addicts. That was aired on a show called Triggers. In Narcotics Annoymous (NA) addicts are encouraged to share their story to save the life of someone else. In September 2010, King got engaged to  Cynthia Kelley, a juror in his civil suit, in which he won a $3.8 million lawsuit. (Really Cynthia? After hearing this mans troubled life, filled with drug abuse, domestic violence and recklessness, you decided you want to spend the rest of your life with him? Or was it the rest of his life?) In March 2011, on the anniversary of his beating, he was given a citation for driving reckless ( Out celebrating or was he trying to promote his book and react the event?), which led to his arrest in February 2012.
On June 17, 2012, King's fiancée Cynthia Kelly found him lying at the bottom of his swimming pool.(Kelly's statement on the police report and the neighbors report are not consistent and his family believes Kelly had some involvement in his death.) When the Police arrived at King's LA home, they attempted CPR until paramedics got there to take him to the hospital. Upon his arrival, King was pronounced dead at the hospital and an autopsy was performed.

As shown in the coroners report on August 23, 2012, King's autopsy results stated he died of an accidental drowning. Although alcohol, cocaine, marijuana and PCP were found in his blood and were contributing factors to his death, King also had an enlarged heart and may have suffered a heart attack before falling into the pool.

We will continue to keep his family in our prayers.
